Custom Event Tracking with Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager is the most common way to fire custom events from a website without code changes. adtribute provides a GTM tag template that captures custom events with full first-party context.
How it works
You install the adtribute GTM tag template, configure triggers for the events you care about (button clicks, video plays, scroll depth, etc.), and adtribute receives the events server-side with all relevant context attached.
What you can do with it
- Fire custom events from GTM without engineering changes
- Pair client-side GTM events with server-side first-party tracking for resilience
- Track any user interaction available to the GTM trigger system
