What is Gumloop

Gumloop is an AI agent platform for teams that want to automate work without writing code. You describe a job in plain language, pick a model, connect the apps the agent may use, and attach skills, reusable instructions and templates that teach it your process. The agent then runs from a chat, from Slack, Microsoft Teams or its own email inbox, on a schedule, from app triggers and webhooks, or through the API. Gumloop started out as a drag-and-drop workflow builder with AI steps, and that node-based builder still exists, but the pricing page now lists workflows as legacy and puts agents at the center. The company, co-founded by CEO Max Brodeur-Urbas, raised a $50M Series B led by Benchmark in March 2026.

Where Gumloop fits in 2026

Gumloop is aimed at marketing, growth, sales and ops teams that want AI agents across many tools without an engineer in the loop. For marketers, Gumloop’s own use cases include weekly ad account audits, tracking competitors’ active ads, performance digests across Google, Meta and LinkedIn, batch-generated ad copy and image variants, keyword research and SEO audits with DataForSEO or Ahrefs, content briefs and drafts in your brand voice, and Shopify agents that manage inventory, draft support replies and audit ad spend. Agents can use a real browser with saved logins for sites without an API, and admins get spend caps, model restrictions, session recordings and SOC 2 Type II compliance.

The trade-off is cost predictability. Pricing is credit-based: Pro starts at $37 a month with 20,000 credits, a credit is worth $0.005, and every run pays model tokens and paid tool calls at list price, 5 credits per minute of active compute and an 8% orchestration fee on top. The same agent can cost 2 credits for a quick question and 200 for a deep research task, unused credits do not roll over, and agents stop when the monthly credits run out unless you turn on pay as you go. An agent’s performance digest is also only as accurate as the platform data it reads, so for the question of which channels actually drive revenue it still needs a measurement source it can trust.

How Gumloop compares to alternatives

Versus Zapier: Zapier connects more than 9,000 apps, has a free plan with 100 tasks a month and starts at $19.99 a month billed annually for 750 tasks, with Zapier Agents and Zapier MCP included on every plan. It is the safer pick for predictable trigger-and-action automations across a long tail of apps. Gumloop has fewer connectors (400+) but is built agent-first, with skills, a company knowledge base, a browser for agents and usage-based billing that follows model and tool costs. Versus Make: Make is a visual scenario builder with 3,000+ native apps and a free plan of 1,000 credits a month, where most actions cost 1 credit. It suits deterministic flows in which you define every step yourself. Gumloop trades that control for agents that decide their own steps, which fits research, writing and analysis tasks better than strict data plumbing. Versus n8n: n8n is fair-code and can be self-hosted from GitHub, while its cloud plans start with Starter at 2,500 workflow executions a month. It adds AI Agent nodes, MCP support and custom code for technical teams. Gumloop runs as a hosted service (Enterprise can run it in its own private cloud), needs no code and bills per credit, so non-technical marketers get started faster and costs follow model usage rather than executions. Versus Lindy: Lindy is also agent-first and pitches itself as a Slack-native AI teammate. It bills every active user, from $49.99 a month for 5,000 credits each, and new accounts get $50 in free credits for 7 days. Gumloop’s Pro plan instead covers unlimited seats that share one pool of 20,000 credits from $37 a month, and puts more weight on building, sharing and governing many specialized agents across a team.

FAQ about Gumloop

What is Gumloop?

Gumloop is a no-code AI agent platform. You build agents that use your apps and data, such as Gmail, Slack, HubSpot, Google Sheets or Shopify, to do real work like research, reporting, outreach or content production, and then run them by chat, on a schedule or from triggers. It is made by AgentHub Inc., a startup with offices in San Francisco and Vancouver.

How much does Gumloop cost?

Gumloop has two plans. Pro starts at $37 a month and includes 20,000 credits (7,400 paid plus 12,600 bonus credits), unlimited agents and seats, and 35+ AI models. Enterprise is priced on request with custom credits, SSO and SCIM, audit logs and an optional private cloud. Extra usage on Pro is billed pay as you go at $0.005 per credit once you enable it.

Does Gumloop have a free plan or trial?

There is no free plan on Gumloop’s pricing page. Pro comes with a 14-day free trial, and the card you add is only charged if you keep the subscription after the trial ends. You can cancel during the trial in the billing portal.

How do Gumloop credits work?

Credits are Gumloop’s billing currency, and one credit equals $0.005. Each agent run adds up model tokens at the provider’s list price, 1 credit per successful connector call plus any charge from paid data tools, 5 credits per minute of active compute and an 8% orchestration fee. Bringing your own model API key removes the token cost but raises the fee to 16%.

What are Gumloop alternatives?

The closest alternatives are Zapier and Make for broad, rule-based automation, n8n for technical teams that want to self-host, and Lindy and Relevance AI for agent-first platforms. Gumloop stands out for team-wide agents with shared skills, a company knowledge base and governance on one credit pool.

Gumloop vs Zapier: which is better?

Zapier is better for straightforward automations across many apps: it connects 9,000+ apps, has a free plan and prices by task, from $19.99 a month billed annually. Gumloop is better when the steps themselves need judgment, such as researching accounts, auditing ad accounts or drafting content, because its agents plan their own steps with skills and company context.

What can marketing teams automate with Gumloop?

Gumloop’s marketing use cases include weekly ad account audits, clustering competitors’ active ads by theme, Google, Meta and LinkedIn performance digests in Slack, alerts when spend drifts, and batch-generated ad copy and image variants. SEO teams use agents for keyword research, competitor gap reports, audits and on-brand meta titles at scale, content teams for briefs, transcript-to-article drafts and fact checks, and Shopify merchants for inventory, support replies and ad spend checks.

What are Gumloop reviews?

Gumloop is rated 4.8 on G2 with 7 reviews and 5.0 on Product Hunt with 9 reviews, so the sample is still small. Reviewers mostly praise how approachable the tool is and the support team, and the most critical review mentions complex workflows that failed. See the G2 reviews for detailed feedback.

Does Gumloop have an API?

Yes. The Gumloop API is agent-first: you can create and update agents, start sessions and send messages, and use an OpenAI-compatible chat completions endpoint, with Python and JavaScript SDKs. Webhook triggers give each agent its own URL that any service can call, and a remote MCP server lets Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients manage your agents. Documentation is at docs.gumloop.com.

Does Gumloop use AI?

Yes, AI is the product. Agents run on your choice of 35+ models from providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, a Model Router can send routine tasks to cheaper models, and you can bring your own API keys. Admins can restrict which models teams use, and Gumloop says it has zero data retention agreements with third-party model providers.

How does Gumloop work?

You create an agent, write its instructions, choose a model and connect the apps it may use, then attach skills and knowledge sources from the Company Brain. You can require approval before sensitive tool calls, and the agent can ask you questions when it needs input. Once it works, you add triggers such as schedules, emails, Slack messages or webhooks and share it with your team.

Does Gumloop work with my existing tools?

Gumloop lists 400+ connectors, including Gmail, Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Sheets, Airtable, Klaviyo and Shopify, plus data tools such as Apollo, Firecrawl and DataForSEO. You can connect your own MCP servers for anything else, and agents can use a real browser with saved logins for websites without an API.

Who is behind Gumloop?

Gumloop is built by AgentHub Inc., co-founded by CEO Max Brodeur-Urbas and Rahul Behal. It raised a $17M Series A led by Nexus Venture Partners in January 2025 and a $50M Series B led by Benchmark in March 2026, with Shopify Ventures and Y Combinator taking part, bringing its outside funding to about $70M.

How to learn Gumloop?

Gumloop University offers short video lessons, the docs cover agents, credits and the API, and the YouTube channel has a Getting Started with Gumloop series. Gumloop also runs live workshops and learning cohorts and lists experts you can hire.
